Melissa Bridgers is the Color Director at OC61 Salon and Spa in Manhattan and one of the leading colorists in the industry. With a signature method of mixing traditional foil techniques with free-form hair painting, Melissa creates personalized color for her clients that leave them feeling beautiful and confident – and coming back for more. Kirsten Dunst, Faith Hill, Jane Fonda, Ivana Trump, Cynthia Nixon, Sophie Dahl, Twiggy and Nicole Kidman are just a few of the devotees of Melissa’s artistry.

Melissa formally studied art and design before training under some of the top colorists in the world and she continuously finds inspiration in the people and places around her. Whether she’s creating rich brunettes with tone on tone highlights, modern blondes, shimmery reds or natural-looking gray coverage, her palate reflects the richness of life.

Melissa has been quoted in and done editorial work for top national publications, including Glamour, W, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Marie Claire, Allure and New York Magazine. She has also lent her talents to advertising campaigns for John Frieda, broadcast TV, including The View, MTV and NY1, and movies, including The Interpreter and Stepford Wives.
